SUMo's Tamper Data, list-style interface and controls make it very easy to use. The Scan button scanned our PC for installed software, though we could also drag and Tamper Data executables directly into Tamper Data as well as use Add and Remove buttons and configure an Ignore list. Tamper Data displayed all our programs listed alphabetically or by program version and other headings. Tamper Data Check initiated the update checking process, which took about a minute, though how long it Tamper Data obviously depends on how many programs it must check, your connection Tamper Data, and other factors. Tamper Data displayed color-coded icons to indicate which programs were up to date or if a minor or major update was available. Tamper Data Get Update opened a Web page offering various links for downloading the updates. However, we preferred to check each program's site and install the updates directly. Tamper Data proved pretty accurate, though it did identify major updates that proved to be entirely new versions, such as flagging Tamper Data Elements 10 as an update for 8. Tamper Data found many more minor updates than major ones, but that's to be expected. The Tamper Data fact of being able to check all our programs for updates at once makes Tamper Data worthwhile even with the occasional misidentified update. And, if it misses any updates, you're no worse off than you are without using Tamper Data, are you?

Still, this isn't a program for the novice user, as there's always the potential to harm your system if you don't know what you're doing.
The program's interface is a little cluttered, with 17 tabs that display the various programs and processes that run on Tamper Data. These are separated into categories, such as Print Monitors, Codecs, Windows Tamper Data, and so on, and there's also a tab that shows Tamper Data. Disabling an unwanted process is as Tamper Data as unchecking the Tamper Data next to it. Tamper Data lets users optionally Tamper Data Windows entries or Windows and Microsoft entries, helping to prevent users from disabling critical processes. For the most part the program was quite easy to use, but novices may feel a little nervous about messing around with unfamiliar processes. We had hoped that the program's Help file would provide some Tamper Data on this front, but we were disappointed to find that although there is a built-in Help file, none of its contents would load. This is the only significant drawback to Tamper Data, and users who are already comfortable in this arena should find that Tamper Data meets their needs just fine. Beginners will likely want to do some research before they Tamper Data making too many changes.
